Fit, Care & Maintenance of Compression Stockings
1. Why are my thigh-length compression stockings rolling down?
This can happen due to incorrect sizing, oily or sweaty skin, or loss of elasticity in the silicone grip band.
👉 Tips:
-
Clean the silicone band gently with a damp cloth to remove body oils.
-
Avoid lotions before wearing.
-
If rolling persists, consider pantyhose-style or waist-high stockings for better grip.
2. Can I develop an allergy to the silicone band?
Yes, some people are sensitive to silicone grip bands, leading to redness or itching.
👉 Solutions:
-
Choose stockings without silicone bands (use Strap belts or Velcro instead). We make custom-made compression stockings with Straps and Velcro.
-
Apply a barrier like thin cotton liners or skin-friendly powder before wearing.
-
If irritation continues, consult your doctor for hypoallergenic alternatives.
3. How should I put on compression stockings easily?
Put them on in the morning, before swelling starts. Roll the stocking down to the heel, insert your foot, and gradually unroll up your leg.
4. Can I use lotion before wearing them?
Avoid greasy lotions — they damage fabric and reduce grip. Use water-based moisturizers and let them dry fully first.
5. How do I wash my stockings?
Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild liquid detergent or shampoo. Do not wring or tumble dry. Air dry in the shade. NO Machine or Brush wash.
6. How often should I replace them?
Every 4–6 months, depending on use. Loss of stretch means reduced effectiveness.
7. Can I wear socks over compression stockings?
Yes, you can wear Oversocks, but only loose-fitting ones to avoid counteracting compression pressure.
8. My stockings slide or bunch up — what should I do?
This means the size or length is incorrect. Get re-measured or try a different model. Contact us for the proper guidance: 9894249069
9. Can I wear compression stockings while travelling?
Yes, they’re excellent for long flights or drives, reducing leg fatigue and risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
10. Are compression stockings safe for diabetics?
Yes, but only under medical guidance. Ill-fitting stockings may affect circulation in diabetic feet. We recommend that you use diabetic socks with mild compression.
11. Do compression stockings help with leg cramps or fatigue?
Yes, by improving oxygen flow and circulation, they ease cramps and prevent heaviness.
12. Are there any side effects?
Properly fitted stockings are safe. If you experience pain, tingling, or skin irritation, check fit.
“Ensure your compression stockings fit correctly and are cared for properly — this ensures comfort, effectiveness, and longer life of the product.”
